Media Distributors Delivers Remote Station(tm) For Grammys

The Remote Station provided video editing and compression capabilities for the webcast stream, which was available live from www.grammy.com from 1:00 to 3:45 pm PST, from the Los Angeles Convention Center. The stream was also made accessible as an on-demand feed for 30 days following the event. The Remote Station, consisting of a road-ready HD editing system secured in two Anvil style road cases, was installed by Media Distributors’ Nathan Adams in the Fox Sports Bar of the Staples Center. Each Remote Station includes a high-end Panasonic SD/HD-SDI video monitor; Genelec reference speakers; Mackie audio mixer, and customized, latest-generation Apple Mac Pros running Final Cut Studio 2. The detachable accessory-case lid features folding legs to form a comfortable and sturdy editing desk for on-location use. “The production values of live television are now being married with state-of-the-art digital streaming production capabilities for a growing audience.
