Euphonix Artist Series Receives Worldwide Honors
Euphonix, Inc., a world leader in large-format digital audio consoles, media controllers, and peripherals, has received three more prestigious awards for its groundbreaking Artist Series media controllers, including the Electronic Musician (EM) Editor's Choice Award, the Remix Technology Award and Audio Media's Best Gear of 2008. Comprised of two units, MC Control and MC Mix, the Artist Series boasts revolutionary ergonomic, slim-line designs and brings the unparalleled speed, resolution and DAW integration of Euphonix' high-end professional consoles to the personal studio. Debuting at the 2008 Winter NAMM show, MC Control and MC Mix have already been awarded some of the industry's most esteemed honors, including the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) for "Best Recording Hardware" and the 2008 TEC Award in the Small Format Console Technology category, as well as the coveted red dot design award. In the December issue of Audio Media magazine, the Euphonix Artist Series was dubbed "2008 Gear of the Year." One of only 20 products formally recognized by the publication, the Artist Series was deemed the "talk of the hi-tech contingent at NAMM," by Editor Paul Mac. Additionally, the MC Control joined an elite group when it won the prestigious 2009 EM Editor's Choice Award in the "Control Surface" category. Described in the magazine as an "elegant user interface (that) is powerful and flexible, outshining all contenders this year," the MC Control can control any DAW application with its touch-screen, faders and knobs. The MC Control also captured the 2009 Remix Technology Award (RTA) in the "Best DAW Controller" category. The RTAs are based on product performance, innovation, results and overall value of the year's best music production, performance and DJ gear. "It is truly an honor to be receiving such high praise from the industry media for our MC Mix and MC Control media controllers," stated Euphonix CEO Martin Kloiber. "Euphonix takes great pride in the Artist series, so getting this recognition does really mean a lot to us. We also would like to thank our EuCon partners for their support -- they are the ones who make these products shine." MC Control and MC Mix easily integrate into any studio, fitting perfectly between a computer keyboard and screen, and up to four units can be connected to create a larger, integrated control surface with up to 36 faders. The Artist Series also features EuCon, a high-speed control protocol developed by Euphonix to allow simultaneous control of multiple applications and even workstations over an Ethernet cable. With EuCon, the foreground application is automatically identified and is instantly set to the high-resolution touch-screen and OLED displays, motorized faders of the controllers to create a more fluid and productive work process.
