Big Machine recording artist Trisha Yearwood has received three 2009 GRAMMY Nominations from her critically-acclaimed album Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love.  Last night the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences honored Yearwood with nominations for Country Album of the Year (for her Big Machine debut Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love;); Female Country Vocal of the Year (for her hit single "This Is Me You're Talking To"); and Best Country Collaboration With Vocals (for "Let the Wind Chase You," her powerful duet with Keith Urban).

"When my producer, Garth Fundis, called me to tell me I had three Grammy nominations, I said, "Are you kidding me?"  What a sweet surprise!  I am always honored to be recognized by NARAS, and am proud and excited for everyone who has been involved with the HHPOL album," says Yearwood.

Yearwood is no stranger to the Recording Academy - she is a three-time GRAMMY Winner and a four-time nominee. She most recently earned a 2008 GRAMMY Nomination for her lead single from her current album - the title track "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."

Hailed by fans and critics alike, Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love, celebrates the elation that radiates when head, heart, and home are happy...and as Yearwood's songs are known to do...beautifully laments the heartbreak when it all slips away. The album made a Top 10 Billboard Country Albums Chart debut and has been heralded by critical heavyweights including the Associated Press, USA Today, Newsweek and, Dallas Morning News and The Boston Globe.

Most recently, Yearwood donated her time and talent to Sears' Heroes at Home program by recording a stunning version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, "My Favorite Things."  The track is available for free download exclusively at www.sears.com. In addition, fans can watch the song's music video, which features the superstar in two of her favorite places - in the studio and on the stage. The video footage includes clips fro Yearwood's September concert for military families at the Fort Knox Army Base in Kentucky. While on the site, fans can learn about what they can do to help deserving military families.

Yearwood's self-penned cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen, has also been a critical and commercial success, over reaching #3 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

Lauded as "one of the finest interpretive singers ever" by Entertainment Weekly, Yearwood is one of the highest-selling female artists in Country music history and now a New York Times Bestselling cookbook author. In her college days Trisha worked as a tour guide at the Country Music Hall of Fame ... 10 million albums later, she sits on the board. Since her 1991 debut, Yearwood has recorded twelve albums. She has nine #1 songs and twenty Top Ten hits under her belt, including "She's in Love With the Boy," "Walkaway Joe" and "How Do I Live." In addition to three Grammy Awards, the Grand Ole Opry member is a three-time CMA winner and a two-time Academy of Country Music Award winner. She has performed at the Olympic Summer Games, at the White House and the Library of Congress. In 2005 Trisha was named one of REDBOOK's Women of the Year.
