Eljuri To Perform At Queens, NY Cinco De Mayo Festival On Sunday, May 4th!

Latin and World-beat phenom Cecilia Villar Eljuri is set perform at the Cinco de Mayo Festival at Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, NY on Sunday, May 4th. The performance comes just weeks before her upcoming solo release "En Paz" hits stores on May 20th, 2008. En Paz has roots steeped in a rich musical heritage compounded with honest lyrics and powerful groove oriented arrangements. Sung primarily in her native language of Spanish, this may be Eljuri’s most raw and passionate album to date. Guest appearances include reggae icons Sly & Robbie and Johnette Napolitano (of Concrete Blonde). Says The New Yorker, "Cecilia Villar's extended guitar solos build on the legacy of Carlos Santana."
