Simpler Machine Unleashes Fearless Album -- 2013

Tired of the same old ride? Simpler Machine's new album "2013" hits the blind turns fast.

The subject matter: sex, city life, adolescence, relationships and road trips gone awry.

With titles like "Let's Fuck in The Van", "Black Bra" and "Mental Karate Chick", Hollywood's Simpler Machine will be raising eyebrows in '08.

Gear shifting grooves, crunching guitars and weaving vocals combine into 13 humorous over-the-top tracks that could find the listener easily driving faster than necessary, posting blogs about ex-girlfriends, or figuring out how to hide this one from the parents.

"The sound is future alt/rock with a punk-prog twist," says singer Jon Nicholson. "This is our first record and we wanted it to be brutal, but stay fun. We love big hooks and aggression, but we're not malicious or malevolent. Our motivations are simple, we love to play music. Primarily we want to entertain, but the band is also about personal growth and surviving in Hollywood -- both good and bad."
