WeBot Adds Linux And MacOS Support To Media Access Service

Play media on Mac, PC, and Linux machines from anywhere-even an iPhone

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 31, 2007-WeBot's recently-launched service lets users listen to all their music and check out all their photos from any computer, no matter where those files are located. Now, users can also get to their media regardless of what kinds of computer those are, too.

"We're proud to make WeBot's service available to the entire online community," said David Gottesman, WeBot's CEO. "We're on a mission to change the way the world uses and shares its media, and this is an important step towards that."

WeBot-which has created an entirely new way to organize and access distributed media from anywhere-recently emerged from a successful closed beta of their service.

"WeBot's a great media application. It's even better with support for other platforms," said Tom Pepper, founder of Shoutcast and co-founder of Nullsoft. "Too often, we see companies that release a service and neglect the Linux and Mac communities; I'm really happy that WeBot is keeping everyone in mind with this service."

With WeBot, users can:

- Play music from their home machine at work through just a web browser
- Get instant access to media across all of their machines and servers as soon as it's downloaded
- Share family pictures stored on several computers-even in different countries-quickly and easily, without every uploading or synchronizing.
- Enjoy all of their desktop media on mobile devices, including Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch, regardless of how many songs they have

About WeBot

WeBot will forever change the way you and your friends listen to music and share pictures. Developed by a team of engineers behind some of the Internet's largest media services, WeBot uses lightweight "media bots" that index and share all of your pictures and music through an intuitive web-based media player.

Unlike remote-access tools that just let a single user reach files in one place, WeBot lets multiple users enjoy their media transparently and securely, even across multiple machines or locations.

WeBot is available as a free service at www.WeBot.com. For more information, contact Nelson Chao at (408) 313-3167.
