Phoenix Band "A Life Of Science" Announces EP Release Party Nov. 9 At Anderson's Fifth Estate In Scottsdale

Arizona-born band, A Life of Science, will host its first EP release party with The Edge 103.9 and Sundawg Records on Friday, Nov. 9 at 9 p.m. at Anderson's Fifth Estate in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The "A Life of Science EP" is the first release from the band. It was recorded in multiple studios over the course of six months and was produced by Sundawg Records in Phoenix.

"A Life of Science is an indie electro rock band comprised of four Arizona-born musicians," said Matt Steinkamp, Sundawg Records CEO. "The band's spacey and experimental sound ranges from post-punk to metal to programmer-pop and back with story-driven lyrics and themes backed by live instrumentation and electronics."

The band was a finalist in the 2006 Bodog Battle of the Bands competition as well as the Budweiser Sugar Daddy's Battle of the Bands. They have performed live at venues throughout Arizona, including Martini Ranch, Venue of Scottsdale, Sugar Daddy's, Last Exit and Rhythm Room.

Also performing at the Scottsdale EP release party are the band's Cardiac Party and Something in Portuguese. Additionally, the band will host an EP release party at Studio 111 in Flagstaff, Ariz. in conjunction with NAU's KJACK radio station and Sundawg Records on Saturday, Oct. 27.
