Von Cello, Famous Rock Cellist Accepted Into Who's Who!

After an extensive examination of his credentials, it has just been determined that Von Cello, a.k.a. Aaron Minsky, will be included in the Y2K edition of Who's Who In America! So who is Von Cello? He is one of, if not, the leading cellist in the New Directions cello movement. As early as 1986 his talent for playing and composing for the cello in a new pop style was recognized by Oxford University Press, which has since published 12 books of his music. Last year Yamaha Corporation of America invited him to become a Yamaha Artist and has had him appear several times on television (Reuters, Associated Press, FOX) and at music festivals, including the Interactive Music Xpo and the World Cello Congress. This year, Von Cello's first CD was released. Titled, "Breaking The Sound Barriers", this CD blurs the line between rock and classical to an extent that has never been done before! Unlike most classical crossover artists who are classical musicians who occasionally cross over to pop, Von Cello is a rock musician who crossed over to classical, gained respect, and then came back! It will be made available to music industry insiders in the August edition of the Grammy Awards Guide and will be entered in the Grammys under Classical Crossover.
