New Music Video from Tessa Makes Love is Unusual
03-03-2013 | Video News
Tessa Makes Love is the name of the avant-garde New York based band fronted by Tessa Lena, a classically trained singer and pianist whose bio reads like a Hollywood novel.
Born and raised in Moscow, Tessa spent time in Tibet studying Tibetan music and language. After being kidnapped by sex-traffickers in China, she made a clean getaway and began a fresh start in the US by starting a band dubbed Schizowave in Chicago, working with Ian McDonald of King Crimson and Foreigner.
Accused of espionage in Chicago during the Bush administration, Tessa spent a month behind bars in Wisconsin, and fought the charges with eventual success.
In 2012 the Femme Fatale started a new band, Tessa Makes Love, along with drummer David Cornejo and regular collaborations by Ian McDonald. On Stage, Tessa performs in flamboyant outfits and wigs along with her unrestrained presence.
On Valentine's Day, the band released their debut music video that has full body painting, opera and Marilyn Monroe. In the two weeks since release, it has received over 300,000 views on YouTube.
